The organ of Saint-Aigulin
The organ was originally built by Auguste Commaille around 1890 for the Little Seminary in Bordeaux.
It was rebuilt and enlarged by Pesce in the 1960s.
In 1988 Philippe Legendre arranged for the purchase of the instrument at a cost of 50,000 francs. Martin Haverlan installed it on a specially built gallery in the 1930s. At the time the organ no longer had its case or swell box.
In 2000 it was again rebuilt by Pesce.
In 2014, the organ was removed and its reconstruction was entrusted to Alain Faye assisted by Eric Menguy and by Johan Rudy (who carved the casework).
On Sunday 14 June 2015, the organ was inaugurated by Cédric Burgelin (organist of Saintes Cathedral) to a packed audience.
